The Saddle Ridge Homeowners’ Association (SHOA) Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is governed by a set of Architectural Guidelines which have been developed since the founding of the association based on the CC&R’s, Bylaws, and the other legislation. Please review the SHOA Architectural Guidelines before submitting your request for modification to your exterior property. The primary purpose of ARC is to maintain values and harmonious appearance in the SHOA neighborhood. All changes to the exterior of properties require review by the ARC. Please review the guidelines before to submitting your application.
All architectural improvements must be approved by the SHOA ARC prior to work commencing. Please download the 2023 ARC Property Modification Application and submit it to an Architectural Committee member as indicated on the form.
Changes made without ARC approval might, if ordered by the SHOA Board of Directors, have to be removed or modified at the expense of the homeowner if unauthorized work is done. The SHOA ARC looks forward to working with homeowners to meet the ARC Guidelines.
Timing to consider:
- All architectural alterations, changes or improvements must be submitted at least 30 days prior to commencement of work and approved by SHOA ARC.
- Some projects require city/county permits so we recommend you pursue SHOA ARC approval before applying for governmental permits to facilitate project timing.
- Once you have SHOA ARC approval and, if required, governmental permits, work must commence within 60 days and be completed within 180 days.
